Meet Victor
MY BIOÂ
My career started long before Artificial Intelligence became the headline of every conference.
For more than 15 years, I’ve worked in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), performing National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Center for Internet Security (CIS) assessments, leading vendor risk programs, and helping organizations build the foundations of trust that every system depends on.
Over time, I began to notice a consistent pattern: as organizations rushed to innovate, their governance often fell behind.
AI systems were being deployed faster than policies could adapt, leaving risk teams to catch up after the fact.
That realization led me to specialize in AI governance not as a trend, but as the natural next step in responsible technology management.
Through Victor Lees AI Advisory, I help leaders bridge innovation with accountability, turning complex frameworks like the NIST AI Risk Management Framework into practical, day-to-day workflows that teams actually use.
Today, I work with organizations to make Responsible AI measurable, auditable, and compliant from policy to production. My goal is simple: to ensure every AI initiative is guided by structure, ethics, and security, not hype.
Who I Serve
I work with forward-thinking leaders who understand that responsible innovation starts with governance. If you’re leading the charge to adopt Artificial Intelligence and want to do it safely, ethically, and in compliance with regulations, I built my advisory to serve you.
1. Chief Information Officers (CIOs)
You’re driving digital transformation while balancing innovation and oversight.
I help you build governance strategies that turn Responsible AI into a measurable, board-level success story.
2. Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs)
You protect your organization’s data and reputation.
I help you implement AI risk controls and testing strategies that align with frameworks such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Center for Internet Security (CIS).
3. Compliance and Risk Officers
You ensure the organization operates within regulation and trust.
I help you design programs that map AI activity to compliance standards and regulatory frameworks.
4. AI and Data Program Managers
You turn ideas into implementation.
I help you integrate Responsible AI practices, such as bias testing, model explainability, and human oversight, directly into your workflow.
5. Regulated Organizations in Healthcare and Finance
I currently offer PCI DSS and HIPAA-aligned advisory services structured around the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF), helping teams adopt AI responsibly, reduce compliance risk, and build systems that can withstand audit scrutiny from day one.
MY PRINCIPLES
1. Responsibility Over Hype
I believe technology should serve people not the other way around.
AI doesn’t need more buzzwords; it needs guardrails, context, and accountability.
2. Simplicity Drives Adoption
Governance only works when people understand it. I take complex frameworks and translate them into practical actions that teams can follow.
3. Trust Is the True Metric
Compliance is more than a checklist. Every process I design aims to build lasting trust with regulators, customers, and the public.
4. Service and Integrity
As a Veteran, I lead with discipline, purpose, and humility. My background in service shapes how I show up for every client: clear mission, strong follow-through, no shortcuts.
5. Ethical Innovation
Responsible AI isn’t just about risk it’s about values. I help organizations build systems that are transparent, fair, and aligned with human oversight at every stage.
